Quilt in the making. Block 1(month 1)


Last year  my favorite Quilt shop went to the big

International Quilt Market in Houston.

They came back with many ideas.

I booked myself to get the block of the month.

At last the first block was ready to be picked up on April 1, 2015.

Here are the three pieces of material.

I first had to cut strips

Then cut into squares.

String-pieced together.

Cut in the middle.

Iron open and I have made

200 squares!

Now I am waiting for next month and block no 2!

    1. Die blokke is in 6 maande verdeel. Mens maak dus 6 verskillende blokke. Hierdie eerste blok of blokkies is glo die “moeiklikste” van die hele spul daar is 200 driehoek-vierkantjies( nie dat dit moeilik was om te maak nie dis net ngoeie hoeveelheid wat gemaak moet word) Hierdie kwilt se materiaal is almal dieselfde. Dis n Anzac herinnering kwilt wat rooi poppies op het as patroon. Mens kry ander blok v d maand patrone wat ander kleure het wat jy kan uitkies wat jy wil maak.

        1. Amper n dubbelbed dink ek. Dit hang af hoe groot mens dit wil hê. Rand wat rondom kom kan breër gemaak waord om groter of kleiner te maak.

    1. Dis heerlik om te doen. Jy kan gerus n eenvoudige patroon maak vir n kussing. Dis hoe ek begin het. Het had gekwilt terwyl ek TV kyk. Ek het al n goeie hoeveelheid gemaak en verkoop.
