Photo 101, Day Fourteen : Scale and observation.

Michelle says:

Today’s Tip: Don’t just point and shoot. Observe your scene before pressing the shutter, considering how all the elements in the frame interact with one another. Make an object appear larger through a ground-level POV. Place two things side by side in an unexpected way.

Scale(Size) of the truck.

There’s more to photography than it seems. Your photos are not only lovely and colourful, but carefully organised, too. The comparisons between small and large are very effective. It’s interesting how the tall man appears small at the side of the huge truck.

Thanks for your lovely reply. As soon as your eye is into photography you’ll be amazed at the difference it makes to everyday photos. I know that I should not have cut the guy’s feet off. It still gives the idea of how huge the truck is.

I know what you mean. My daughter, Louise (afairymind) has improved dramatically since she did Photography 101 last year. I can see how you are putting the new techniques to good use. 🙂
I just realised today, that you had reviewed ‘Shadow’ too. I’d seen that one a few weeks ago but I didn’t realise the initials were yours until I saw the second review. I only guessed the PoV review was yours because it said something in it that you’d said to me on the blog. Thank you for both, so very much. 🙂

I’ve done Photo 101 before this one just refreshed my memories again. Photography is an ongoing thing. If don’t use it you loose it! You are very welcome! I am not so good in writing reviews because I haven’t done any. Now I am practicing on yours! Ha ha. No jokes, you really have a way of telling the story. I loved both books. Now I’m waiting to see if the find the long lost king again! Also the clash between the Mercians and Danes!

The review read really nicely. Book £ is coming along slowly. I’m trying to put a spurt on now, so I’ll have to cut down on blogging for a while. Your photography is great – I love to see your photos every week.

Lovely! Looking forward to reading it. Don’t rush it because then you have to keep on making changes. Glad you love my photos!

Beslis. Die gly-kasteel is die hoogste wat mens kry. Hy het nie gewerk nie want die week voor die byeenkoms het dit ingesak en kinders beseer!

Was nogal groot nuus. Aangesien die byeenkoms reeds lank terug bespreek is het hul steed die glybaan hierheen gebring. Ek weet nie of hul hom toewel gebruik het nie. Daar was nie veel belangstelling nie!
