Finish the story begins with: “The petroglyphs told the story of an unusual event.”

“The petroglyphs told the story of an unusual event”

these exciting words kept on turning round and around in professor Allen Schreuder’s mind! An unknown man called him. He had someone who could explain the meaning of the petroglyphs.

Prof Schreuder was standing next to an old tattered woman. She started:

Two tree like drawings on the left were two tentacled blood suckers. The girl in the middle tried to chase the goats away because they were precious to the family. The family were shocked to see the girl. They ran away like lightning.Top right a snakelike monster was curled up.It had eaten the girls father. Only the footprint was left. 1. Good story! The old woman was the narrator of the story and knew what she was talking about. The tentacled blood suckers sound very creepy! I’m interested in knowing why they would be more important to the young girl’s family than the goats.

  2. Nicely done Scrapydo! I liked that the girl of the story was the old woman. Nice touch! I hope that you are “game” for the upcoming challenge. It should be fun! Be well… ^..^

    • Thanks, it takes a lot of thinking before I can start writing the short pieces but it keeps me going! I am game for the next one. Sometimes I wish weeks had a few days more ha ha, If it was like that it would anyway not be enough time. As soon as I reach Thursday I keep on reminding myself it’s nearing Monday again and I better hurry up. Love it anyway. Keep well and enjoy your week

  3. Your interpretation of the petroglyphs makes perfect sense. I could see each image as you described it. I love the idea that the old woman was the little girl – very intriguing. Does that mean she’s immortal…?
