School Stories

Last Friday children had to decorate their shoes for a shoe parade.  The following shoe were Before Care School children’s shoes. Left hand is a first grader!

Today they are having a Scooter competition. All had to make up their scooters and bring them to school.

Here is one of my before school care girls. Also a starter. She was crying this morning because her balloons did not want to stay up in the air! She drew cat faces on the balloons last night. Had a hard time to get her over it. At the end, all went well and she was happy to go on.

Here is the other girl from the first graders  who also brought her scooter.

Lots of fun.

  1. It’s lovely to see such happy children. The shoe parade is a great idea, and so was the scooter decorating. It’s also nice for me to see kiddies playing in the sunshine. Your photos are beautiful and will hold such happy memories for you when you eventually leave the school.

    1. This school is like a big happy family. We see that they go outside to really play when the weather is good. Every afternoon I take them for a swim too. I discovered how to take photos with my phone which makes it much easier to quickly take a photo of all the action.

  2. I bet you get a lot of exercise watching over these kiddies. This school is definitely a first world dream – my daughter and I both immediately noticed how well cared for the kids are, the helmets and shoes, the neat playgrounds …

    1. It definitely is totally different from what I(and you) are used to. They don’t wear shool uniforms but they have to wear shoes on the playground. Everybody, meaning grown-ups included, are forced by law to wear helmets when cyclin.

Onderwysers is sooo belangrik!

Toe sy my sien aankom hardloop sy voluit na my toe en gryp my vas. Sy was so bly om my te sien.
