Last Christmas together 2004

This was the last Christmas we were all together. My son left for New Zealand July 2005 and my mother passed away in July 2006. I am glad that I have this photo to look at when starting the festive season.

I am privileged to live in New Zealand since 2009. Also near my only son and his lovely family.

  1. Christmas time is memory time, we feel the same way, Ineke. Granny lost her whole family in 9 years, from 1997 to 2006 and how older she gets, how more memories come back. She still has her sister, daughter and grandchildren, thank cat! We’re happy for you that you have your son and family in the surroundings to make new memories. Hope you have a wonderful Christmastime ❤ Pawkisses for a wonderful Sunday 🙂 ❤

  2. Wishing you a joyful Christmas season! Last year was sad for us. Dad had just died and I was still picking myself up. Life goes on, doesn’t it? And I’m very lucky to have a wonderful son and daughter. He will be cooking this Christmas, which will be a total novelty. 🙂 🙂 God bless!

    • Awesome to have children who care. It makes it worth the while to go on. It is hard to lose a loved one. The memories never go away but they soften the real times without them. I’m house sitting for my children this year. They visit my daughter- in-laws parents this year. I wish you also a peaceful and lovely festive season too.

  3. Definitief ‘n kosbare foto!! Ek het al baie gewonder as daar nie iets soos fotos was nie of ‘n mens jou kinders se ontwikkeling so goed sou onthou het.
