Iets besonders. Middag toe ek verby loop was hul klaar opgeskrompel en net die steeltjies het nog gestaan. Gister was daar nog weer maar nie so mooi soos die twee nie.

And usually more in spring after all the wet winter weather. You should look up jellyfish toadstool. Very interesting.

Thanks, it really was special. I passed them this afternoon and the tops were already gone. Look after yourself and have a good weekend. Our lock-down is nearly over. Shops are open again and schools are starting on Monday

I saw pictures of the same mushrooms a couple years ago. Searched around and found them on https://rosegrowing.blogspot.com/2008/12/strange-fungi-appeared-at-my-roses.html
But it looks like s/he has no name for them either, though “jellyfish fungi” seems apt. Looks to be in the southern hemisphere, though, as he’s growing roses at Christmastime.

I had a look on line and found https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mycena_interrupta or Pixie Parrasol. I think these two were already open a while because the afternoon they were gone when I walked past the place.
