May’s theme / technique: It’s all about the Light

This month's final assignment - Experiment in different weather conditions such as mist or rain, OR take a photograph indoors such as a still life or light entering a room streaming through a window OR experiment in capturing the colour of light.

Yesterday morning started of with a lot of fog.

9:10 AM

Half an hour later it looked like this.

9:45 am

Last night at about 9:30 PM it was misty again.

Didn’t mean to catch Trompie in the act!

Yes it does. I can’t stop looking at it when it hangs around just high enough that one can see the bottom. I stopped working but during the winter time I had to drive out of Upper Hutt along the river to the school. In winter there was usually mist hanging over the river. Wonderful drive every morning.

Ah, well a much better place to be, though SA is a lovely country. NZ much safer though and equally beautiful.

I agree that both countries are lovely countries. They both have their own special scenes and different animal life too.

Not an area I know. I have lived in North Johannesburg and Cape Town, a lot of years ago now!

I grew up just outside Pretoria, half way to Johannesburg. Potgietersrus was my favourite place to be. I’ve traveled a lot in SA too.

Very interesting to see these photos and the difference made by the mist and the light. Trompie wanted to get a photo on the blog too.😊

That’s why I had to take the photos because it was just something different. After Trompie finished he pulled my hand and the next photo didn’t work!
