I saw the photo on Brian’s blog this morning and thought it would be good to test my skills. I used markers to colour in the drawing.
Hop over to Brian’s post to see how it looks. https://bushboy.blog/2022/06/04/a-police-station-from-the-past/

You have done a fantastic job. You are such a skilled artist. Have you thought about illustrating (and writing) children’s stories?

Thanks Amanda. Busy Writing children’s picture books and illustrating them myself. Illustrating caught my eye and that’s how I started the drawing and painting. I’ve done a second course on writing and illustrating picture books. First one is about a Family spiders and a wasp. First draft done. Second one is more about the illustration. This one is about Molly a Yorkshire Terrier who goes to her ballet class. First thing Bea said: Molly doesn’t walk on her hind feet and also doesn’t wear a dress.
Dis pragtig gedoen Ineke!

An excellent likeness. I like the way you made it your own and may I say, like it more than the original?

Wow, thanks Appeltjie. The markers are a bit expensive and I had to wangle the colours with the ones I have. It seems that I need more shades of grays for putting in the shadows
