Dear Millie

one of Trompie’s favourites girlfriends.

Millie loved to curl up in the cat basket although she is too big for it.

Trompie usually stood watching her up on the table in the basket.

Trompie received an award from Binky

Binky is Trompie’s   very special blog friend.

They know each other for a long time.

I , as Trompie’s mum, am going to answer the questions asked by Binky on Trompie’s blog at

MILLIE is a lovely, friendly Labradoodle.

From time to time Trompie(my dog) and I look after Millie.

Millie and Trompie are best friends. They can’t get enough of each other when they are together.

Then there is MOLLIE a Yorkshire Terrier.

A real tomboy. Always wants to chase an object.

She is Trompie’s niece!

lives with Millie.

He doesn’t like the idea of three dogs chasing him.

Still, he is friendly and wants to be friends with the dogs.

Where did you live at age five?  Is it the same place or town you live now?

As a 5 year old I lived with my parents in my grandparents home on the top floor.

This was in Hilversum the Netherlands. I had two weeks on the ship the Waterman before my 6th birthday.  It is a whole world away from where I am now in New Zealand.

You are invited to a party that will be attended by many fascinating people you never met.  Would you attend this party if you were to go by yourself?

I don’t like it to go on my own because I have gone to many functions on my own. It is not the best thing because people need to discuss events like this with each other. On your own you can’t do that.

Did you grow up in a small or big town? Did you like it?

I grew up in a very small rural village which today is part of a city! I enjoyed it very much. Near nature and not very complicated.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I am an animal lover and always wanted to become a vet. Those days girls did not study for vets they had to marry and be wives and mothers. I still love my animals and did my own studies after many years of looking after my son.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

I am grateful that I could house sit for my friend who went over seas for 3 weeks. I also looked after her two dogs and two cats. I am grateful that she payed me for it. Every cent helps. I look forward to catching up with this friend. I also hope that I could get another International student this year.
