Weekly Prompts: Special

Today’s challenge is a Valentine’s Day Special, and the challenge word is ‘Special’.

GC and I don’t normally set a Friday challenge, but hey, it’s a special day so why not. And on this special day we would like you to tell us or show us what is special to you. It could be a colour, a flower, a meal, a place or a person, in fact, it could be anything at all.

Mummy and Daddy went out last night for a Valentine’s dinner. Ouma, looked after me. I had lots of fun. My Ouma is special and I am special to her too. We love each other.

So gaan jy weer nooit weer met my praat nie?

Jou gesig moet ek altyd vind

En as ek alleen op die plaas gaan stap
Is jy altyd in my gedagtes
Ek soek jou in die denne, in die wind

Want jy’s my hartklop, my asem, my lewe
Sonder jou is ek niks
Sonder jou sal ek vergaan

Jy is my sonskyn, my water, my wese
Sonder jou is ek niks
Sonder jou sal ek vergaan

Al gaan ek na die verste land
En staan ek op die witste strand
Ek soek jou tussen mense, bly by my

Ek kan jou nie los nie
Wil nooit van jou af wegkom nie
Met alles in my wil ek jou vind
En vasdruk teen my lyf

Want jy’s my hartklop, my asem, my lewe
Sonder jou is ek niks
Sonder jou sal ek vergaan

Jy is my sonskyn, my water, my wese
Sonder jou is ek niks
Sonder jou sal ek vergaan

Ek wil nie sonder jou vir ‘n oomblik leef nie
Ek kan nie sonder jou ‘n tree beweeg nie

Ek soek jou in die dag
Ek soek jou in die nag, want jy

Want jy’s my hartklop, my asem, my lewe
Sonder jou is ek niks
Sonder jou sal ek vergaan

Jy is my sonskyn, my water, my wese
Sonder jou is ek niks
Sonder jou sal ek vergaan

Want jy’s my hartklop, my asem, my lewe
Sonder jou is ek niks
Sonder jou sal ek vergaan

Jy is my sonskyn, my water, my wese
Sonder jou is ek niks
Sonder jou sal ek vergaan

Sonder jou is ek niks
Sonder jou sal ek vergaan

JusJoJan 2/20 – a Photo

A Photo

My precious grand daughter Bea(no, correction Beatrix) visited me for about an hour on the farm. It was to hot to be outside so we sat inside drinking a cold drink. While the adults were discussing the past week while visiting Beas other grand parents in Cambridge, New Zealand, she played with ouma’s scrap booking things. All concentration to try and fit the pieces, which don’t fit at all.

Around my arm will fit better!

Come and join in the fun this month.

Bea and her rocking horse.

I had a wonderful time looking after Bea while Daddy worked in the garage. At first we played with her play dough. Just after eleven Daddy came in to have a cup of coffee. Bea took Daddies hand and led him to the bedroom. She wanted to ride on the rocking horse.

Bea helped Daddy to carry the horse to the lounge.

Then it was time for the ride.

Bea loved the soft hairy mane of the horse. She kept on touching the mane forgetting that she was riding the horse.

Then she got tired, turned the horse on its side and curled up next to it. I covered them with her blanket.

Sweet little girl!

School stories: Art and a mouse

Before School Care had an artist in the form of an always busy(mischievous) six year old boy. He was so into building the octopus and shark that he didn’t want to pack up to go to his classroom.

OCTOPUS
SHARK

The afternoon I had a chat with one of the teachers. I asked her about the behavior of two girls from her class. After the discussion the teacher told me that she wanted to release a tiny field mouse that she caught in her classroom that morning. It was drizzling outside and she went just around the corner of her classroom, into some foliage. She opened the box and the mouse jumped out. Ran along the wall; sniffed at the corner; crossed the footpath; straight onto the veranda and into another classroom! We stood giggling because the teacher in that classroom is afraid of mice.

This morning the teacher came to before school classroom. She told me that she caught the mouse in a trap last night and set it free far away from the classroom. We couldn’t help laughing and giving a sigh of relieve for the catch again.
