Day 4.

EMBRACE

Embrace the moment it is precious. This morning I had to go to my son and daughter-in-law to get some information ready. I am starting to help with distributing my son’s small business components. I walked with my dog Trompie to their home. It is about 35 minutes walk from my place. I embraced the opportunity to still walk that far. The wind was blowing about 130 km p hour. It was half  an hour to remember, wind, Trompie pulling, my hip hurting – still it was wonderful to can walk.

I also embraced the time I could be together with my children. We also went out yesterday afternoon to celebrate my ebook and the first one sold.

It is important to gather all these moments and embrace them for days to come.

Photo 101 starts with My Home

Home is elusive. When we think about this word, we might picture different physical locations. And while home is often found on a map, it can also be less tangible: a loved one, a state of mind.

TREASURE FOUND

“Peter, P-E-T-E-R, where are you?”

Peter kringed when he heard his mother’s voice calling him in that  tone. He hated it when his mother always wanted to spoil his findings and discoveries.

The door of his bedroom slowly opened. “Psst, Peter are you here?” came the whisper from the door. “Shhh, Livy don’t make a noise! Come inside and have a look what I found!” Excited Peter climbed out of the cupboard. In his hands he had the most beautiful shiny dragon. It looked as if it was alive. Its azure blue eyes were sparkling in the dark room. Both the children could not take their eyes away from it. It was as if they were in a trans.

Suddenly the door flew open and there she was. Peter’s mother who everybody knew as the wicked witch entered. She wanted to grab the dragon but….

TREASURE

powder case
powder case

At the end 1973 one of my standard 1(year 3) gave me this powder case as farewell present.

A compact (also powder box and powder case) is a cosmetic product. It is usually a small round metal case and contains two or more of the following: a mirror, pressed or loose face powder with a gauze sifter and a powder puff.
