This weeks prompt is: INSPIRATION

New Zealand Christmas tree

On my daily walks, just after New Year, I discovered this NZ Christmas tree. It’s the first time I’ve seen it with my own eyes. I was inspired by the look and beauty of the”bush” and its bright red blooms. It gave me INSPIRATION to know that nature is still thriving.

Does anyone know if this is a Rata or Pohutukawa “bush”?

I think the beauty of it inspires too. This was the first time I’ve seen one from close by!

Really. They are all over Northland, I have a few photos of them over the years, I just find them so exotic.

I’m not moving around NZ a lot anymore. I was very special to see this one just around the corner from me. I moved to this place in March last year that’s why I haven’t seen it before. From now on I’ll see it every year. This was the same with the Protea I discovered also in the same street.

A photo taken with a phone and overcast weather can’t show the real beauty of it.

Beslis. Desmber in Suidelike halfrond het mos nie seeu nie daarom beteken hierdie getooide bome baie meer as die Dennebome.
